In closing

This is Gao Xiangze’s final project for JMSC 1003: Fundamentals of Data Journalism. Thanks for Professor Chen Bin’s guidance throughout the course. I would like to say it’s a brief yet remarkable journey, allowing me to experience the power of programming through each iteration of code execution.

I’ve never been someone with particularly innovative ideas, but I’m incredibly happy that during my very first semester of freshman year, I was able to independently complete an assignment with such a high degree of freedom—exploring a topic related to people’s livelihoods that I believe is not only of interest to me.

When complex data was transformed into intuitive charts through programming and yielded compelling conclusions, the significance of this project to me became self-evident, and my sense of accomplishment stems precisely from this.

My growth needs no public stage. Its value is all about self-defined.
